Mix up adhesive and apply with a toothed trowel. Use adhesive appropriate to the surface you are laying on, check with suppliers.
Step 2
Lay stone mat onto adhesive and push down hard evenly over the whole mat, ensure no adhesive gets onto top surface of the stone.
Step 3
When adhesive is fully dry, mix up grout in preferred colour. (A grout additive may be used which makes the grout more flexible.) Smear the grout between the pebbles and ensure it’s worked in. Use a damp sponge and rinse regularly to wipe away excess grout and give a nice smooth finish to the joints. Leave for a day or two to dry.
Step 4
When grout is fully dry use Spirits of salts or hydrochloric acid solution to dissolve excess grout and give it a smooth finish.
Step 5
Apply paint on sealer if required
* tricky areas or narrow spaces may require you to pull pebbles off mat and lay individually.
