Our Sumba statue collection is hand carved by a local Bali artisan using sandstone that comes from the Island of Sumba Indonesia, commonly called Sumba stone. These stone statues are inspired by traditional Sumbanese ‘Guardians', and make a beautiful statement by themselves, look great in a cluster, or make the perfect companion for your house plants and tinkets. In the traditional villages of Sumba, statues like these are placed inside and around the entrance of a hut, providing protection and healing to those inside.
